First Annual Bicycle Safety Family Fun Day Held
On Sunday, April 27, 2008, the First Annual Bicycle Safety Family Fun Day was held at the Middle Valley Community Center in Long Valley. The event was sponsored by The David D. Hammar Foundation and The Middle Valley Community Center. The purpose of this event was to promote bicycle safety for the entire family.

The inclement weather did not deter people from coming out and having a great time. Approximately 20 helmets were given away to children and their parents.
Bicycle instructor Tom Hester, was excellent speaking to the children and parents, about different safety issues

Cycleworks Bike Shop from Byram could not have been a bigger help. They did bicycle safety checks and helped fit the children and their parents' helmets. Overall it was a huge success for The David D Hammar Foundation.

A special thanks to all those who volunteered their time, it was because of them this event was a huge success.
The David D. Hammar Foundation is looking forward to future events in Princeton and Somerville.
